What makes
Zen Movement different from other yoga studios?

Zen Movement focuses on small group environments, personalized care, and intentional community. Class sizes will average around 10 people, although special events will hopefully draw a full house of 20+. Safe and intelligent yoga/movement training is a highlighted, and many say Stephanie's detailed instruction is of the easiest to follow.

Stephanie regularly meets with students and clients for custom yoga instruction, personal growth mentorship, and Thai bodywork session. The calendar of classes and events moves with the seasons and keeps in mind the collective environment within which we are all living. Value can be found within the small yet mighty community! More features of Zen Movement Studio are yet to be revealed!

What if I'm new to yoga and/or meditation?

Not a problem at all! We've got your back and truly encourage you to get started! This space is very welcoming to those without any experience in yoga or meditation. We recommend that you reach out to Stephanie via email or phone so that she can direct you to the best starting point for you. In short, a Gentle Yoga class and a private consultation is the most popular arrangement for beginners. View the New Member Info to get started. We look forward to meeting you!

Is this a hot yoga studio?

Nope! The studio is generally kept at about 76 degrees. Cool enough in the summer, and warm enough in the winter. Just right for many of us.

What types of yoga do you offer?

Currently we offer a range of yoga practice that stem from Hatha and Vinyasa styles. Restorative and Gentle classes are the most mellow suitable for true beginners. All Levels classes is a variety of poses and sequences adapted to a range of experience levels in the room. Slow Flow classes have the highest amount of challenging movement and explore creative variations of sun salutations at a moderate pace. All classes are fully guided.

Keep your eye out for specialty workshops, series, and classes that Stephanie will be adding to the class calendar. Some themes include meditation series, gong immersions, creative movement classes without a yoga mat, extended 2-hour practices, yoga for athletes, inversion trainings, and much more!
